Arnica Muscle Salve
A specific external treatment for physical trauma, sprains, bruising and other injuries. Use immediately after strenuous exertion or injury to prevent, relieve and reduce swelling, bruises and pain.
Arnica is a graceful woodland plant in the same family as the sunflower, native to Central Europe and the western United States. Its yellow flowers are collected art summer's end and dried for medicinal use. Arnica oils and creams are used topically to treat sprains, bruises, and muscle pain.
Willow bark is the grandmother of aspirin and many other medications for arthritis and rheumatism. Almost two thousand years ago, the Greek physician Dioscorides used willow bark to sooth the pain of inflamed joints. Native American healers used willow bark long before Europeans landed. This first of the modern miracle medicines has been a mainstay in the treatment of joint pain ever since. Willow bark is a proven painkiller appropriate for colds, fevers, minor infections, headache, arthritis, and pain caused by inflammation.

It all starts by infusing the olive oil with herbal goodness in this salve that means Arnica and white willow bark. I infuse this oil for a minimum of 8 weeks before using it to make this balm.
When the infused oil is ready it is strained and warmed with Cocoa butter, coconut oil, and beeswax to make it solid. Then it is poured into 4 fl oz tins (minimum of 4 oz by weight) just for you.
